The Chair opened the hearing on HB2570.
Chairman Tarwater welcomed Secretary Amber Shultz from the Kansas Department of Labor.
Secretary Shultz presented neutral testimony on HB2570 . She stated that many of the provisions were policy issues, which the agency will remain neutral on. The agency opposes only a few provisions. Secretary Shultz stated that they have worked closely with stakeholders to find a compromise. (Attachment 1).
The conferee stood for questions.
The Chairman adjourned the meeting.
